mainsqueeze's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summer Time Old Style Lemonade Happy birthday, Andrew! I am making something special for you, and even though you may not get it until a few months after your birthday, Im pretty sure that youll like it. I threw an impromptu barbeque today. (I hate that word, by the way. Did I spell it correctly?) I called Crystal, Candace, Shanna, Chris, Erika, Zach, Crystal C, and Alis and invited them all to meet me at O'Callaghan park at 7pm. Crystal picked me up to take me shopping, and we drove to the park together only to find that the Parks & Rec clubs had reserved almost every single picnic area in the park! I noticedd that one group was using only two of the four tables and none of the barbeques, so I went up to one of the women in charge and asked if we could use one of the empty tables. She was extremely rude to me- First, she told me that they had the area reserved until 8pm. Then, she said that she guessed I could use one of the tables, but she wanted to know why we wanted it. Were we, she asked, going to be doing something the kids shouldnt see? (Im guessing that my apparel- Blue jeans and a red tee shirt- led her to believe that I was a porn star or a meth dealer or something.) I told her that we were just going to be barbequing, and she decided that the children should not witness such a horrific event and she sent me on my way. Cuntface. Anyhow, we located an empty picnic area, and we ran to it and set all of our stuff there so no mean P&R people could steal it from us. Almost everyone that we invited came. It was so much fun. We ate tons of sausages and hot dogs and chicken breasts, and we played football and volleyball in the big sand pits next to our table. By the way, I grunt when Im playing volleyball. I cant seem to get the ball over the net if I dont. I had never even realized it until Chris commented on how scary I sounded. Ha. Fun, fun, fun. Im thinking that we should do this every month or so.
