mainsqueeze's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- films about trains It's been one hell of a week, kids, one hell of a week. Harold came to visit for the weekend, so Crystal and I did our best to entertain him. Most memorable moment? Ben and Jerry's, when Harold started singing "Loser," Lounge Lizard-style, with the sweeping arm gestures and everything. That was good. As you may have read in my latest entries, a dear friend of mine recently discovered that she was pregnant. Yesterday, I went with her to the women's clinic to help her through her abortion. I have never, ever questioned my belief in a woman's right of choice. Your body, your business. It seems the issue becomes a lot more confusing when somebody close to you applies that right. Abortion is not pretty. It isn't painless, like your doctors may tell you. It's terrifying, and it hurts, and it isn't an easy thing to do or even to witness. Use a condom, for chrissakes. Just use a fucking condom. I'm off to work, now. It's a beautiful day out, and I don't want to go, but one sick day this week is enough.
