Two guys who work at the same casino I do but in a different department confided to me the other day, "You know how at the weekly meeting we always say 'I love my yob'? Well, we DON'T love our yobs. We HATE our yobs." And I just have to say EFF YOU if you have a problem with the way I punctuated that. Oh, speaking of my job, I just received a call--yes, at nearly 3am--because one of the grave shift girls flat out failed to show the fuck up for her shift, that WHORE. At least I get to handle this bullshit in front of my tv. Speaking of tv, the movie Jesus Camp is on right now and GODDAMN IT IS CREEEEEEPY. I went to a Southern Baptist church with one of my babysitters when I was a kid, the kind of place that was just one eensy step away from the crazy-ass snake handlers. I was all about it until they told me my Dad was going to hell fer playin' the rock music. Anyway, MY JOB. I stayed for 11 back breaking hours tonight and will stay for, oh, 12 or 13 tomorrow night. My coworker, who fancies herself my boss simply because she has been with the company longer than I have, shared some of her "concerns" with me a few days ago. In a corporate environ, "concerns," is code for, "shit you've done wrong." I'm not going to go through the loooooong list of my apparent offenses, but damnit, I am not enjoying this job.
